Eating lunch somewhere in southern Pennsylvania. We’re road-tripping it down to NC. Usually we do the drive in two days, stopping in Virginia at a hotel that has an indoor pool. But today we were going to Burlington instead of the mountains, which made the drive about 2 hours shorter. Plus we got off an hour earlier than usual. So it was right about here, at lunchtime, that we decided to go for broke and do the whole drive in one day. So we booked it down and managed to roll into Burlington at 9:30 pm. Which is right about the time we get the girls to settle down in a hotel room. Unfortunately, neither napped on the drive and couldn’t get to sleep until after 11 pm. But otherwise they were great travelers the whole day. Only one day left of this blog and if you’re interested in seeing the progression of the girls, just go back to January 10th and compare that picture of Barrow to this one.
